House
■
Higher door frames, doors and
door knobs
■
Light switches to be up higher
■
Any sinks (kitchen/bathroom) to
be higher
■
Towel racks and the like to be
placed at a reasonable height
■
Higher walls – Hate low ceilings
■
Any type of kitchen appliance to
have better adjustable ‘feet’
■
Counters/bars to be made for a
human and not a midget
■
Longer beds, couches, chairs
■
Toilets to be raised up

■
Do you know how hard it is to
sit down on the toilet when you have ski boots on? And it’s nearly
impossible to get BACK UP.
■
Any type of mirror to be hung
appropriately. Who wants to see their waist in the mirror?
■
Hang pictures at my eye line
■
Hang lights higher
Car
■
Adjustable foot pedals -
I now have this in my car
■
Use better glue to keep the car
roof fabric from hanging down
■
Adjust the seats so they go back
further
■
Entry doors to be raised up
higher – I know I could get a bigger car, but I don’t want to drive a
bus.
Out in the World
■
Tube entry doors to be a couple
of inches higher. I always hit my head
■
Taller phone boxes or booths
■
This goes for any other train or
subway system
■
Taller friends
■
Hang any signs or banners at
least 7’ off the ground. See when I walk into a shop or bar, I really
don’t want to have to duck underneath your advertising.
■
At a table, booth or bar,
provide a safe amount of distance between the top of the chair or seat
and the bottom of the table.
■
For airlines to give a little
more room in the poor people’s cabin, a.k.a. economy. Seriously, if
the person ahead of me reclines their seat, I have to sit sideways.
Even if I shove my backside all the way back into the seat, I still
cannot sit straight. Sitting sideways for hours, is not fun.
Therefore, when we ask for an exit row or bulkhead seat, kick the shorty
out and please give us these seats.
■
Stop asking tall people to get
things down for you
■
For short people to stop telling
me where I can find clothes. You don't think I haven't figured it
out yet?
Clothing
■
Major issue – Catalogs,
PLEASE stop saying you offer pants, trousers, or jeans in tall/long
sizes, and then proceed to tell us that it’s a 34” inseam. THIS IS
NOT LONG. I have a 37/38” inseam, and to me, anyone else considered
tall, cannot fit into a 34” inseam pant.
■
Obviously, longer
pants/jeans/trousers.
■
To have the clothing industry
realize that, they show off their clothes on tall models, yet mass
produce their clothes for short people. If they prefer, they can just
send me the model clothes, from the runways or design studios
■
Additionally, would love for
these clothing makers to see that not all tall people are necessarily a
size 18 or 60 years old. We can be tall, thin and young as the same
time. Really, we too, deserve to be clothed.
■
Make the size 10+ shoes just as
pretty as the size 6 ones
