Tennis and Ronald McDonald

Thanks to T, last week we went to see Venus and Serena Williams play tennis, at the new Broomfield Events Center.

Since this was for the Ronald McDonald charity group, the tennis playing was not up to, what I say is, their usual standard. It was still ‘neat’ to see them in person and watch them play. Serena certainly is a big girl. At one point she stretched back and J said that her arms were as big as his. J has some big arms, too. Venus was much taller and thinner than I had expected.

As for the Broomfield Events Center, there isn’t a bad seat in the house. It’s fairly small, I believe it has 5,000 seats. A great view from, what we could tell, every seat. There was a Mini-donut stand, which sold the most delish donuts ever. I ate …10 ... of them. YUMMY.

The true highlight of the evening was seeing some drunken lady getting hauled away by the police, whilst screaming at her husband/boyfriend to get her coat. “I AIN’T DOIN’ NUTTIN WRONG” “GET MY COAT! LET ME GET MY COAT”

Overall, a fun ‘Culture Night’ out. Thanks T.
