The Trip - Continued
Thanksgiving Day
J woke me up around 3am to tell me that there was a rumor among the staff that we would not be able to tender at Grand Cayman. Apparently, a storm was coming in and it would be too rough. This left me with vision if a Poseidon like nightmare occurring. J was not too happy about this, as he had hoped to setup a banking account. We’ve been to Grand Cayman before and really enjoyed it so there was much disappointment.
Being that it was stormy, there was not much to do on the ship either. See, all I really like to do is layout in the sun, read and listen to my iPod. The last two things are no good if there is no bloody sun.
Thanksgiving dinner was horrible. I wanted some home cooked food. The pumpkin pie was disgusting. Very disappointing day, overall.
Friday, we arrived to a sunny and warm Cozumel. We headed over to a ‘resort’ which had pools, a beach and rock climbing walls. I laid out by the pool drinking Pina Colada’s. The water was warm and clean, it was great to go for a swim. J and I had lunch at the Hard Rock Café (oh, so touristy) and did some shopping. We’ve been to Cozumel before, so we skipped past all the souvenirs and such. We ended up buying this pretty pewter bowl, to go on top of our new sideboard.
Saturday, finally had a sunny day at sea. The ‘Adult’ deck was empty and quiet (sort of), so I had a nice relaxing day.
Despite that Sunday being touted as the busiest travel day of the year, we zipped right through Customs and the Airport. We got home without any problems, thankfully. Sadly, I couldn’t get Pumpkin until the following day. I left work early and picked up my baby! She was fine in the kennels, just matted and dirty.
Overall, it was a nice trip, despite the yucky weather. We were glad to be home though.
