Move It!

Please, stop spinning! I thought my ‘Mental Health’ day on Friday would cure me. It did not. Last week seemed so incredibly busy and I felt like I couldn’t stop and rest. Many things were accomplished but not enough. Going to the gym, getting car work done, Vet appointments, parties to attend and starting my kitchen on fire, I’d had enough by Thurs.

Wednesday morning, I fell, quite hard, on the ice. A swollen knee and banged up wrist, did not help the matter. Then, later Weds, after a good workout, despite the knee, I managed to start a kitchen fire. Good stuff, right?

I did learn this – you should not use water to put out an oil fire. Table salt or baking powder is best. It also helps if you have a level-headed-calm husband to just ‘blow’ out the fire. Really, it was not one of my finer moments.

Thursday, it was Bunco night, over at T&M’s. We’ve not played Bunco before but were excited to play. There were quite a few people there, some old friends Pete and Adrianne, some of M’s cooking friends (one of which is on the Food Network for her Thai cooking) and of course, T&M were there. We munched on some yummy food and played.

Guess what? I won. Me, who sucks at all games and never really wins anything, WON. I split the pot with the Bunco loser (which was Pete) and walked away with $30.

I had also decided to take Friday off, as a Mental Health Day. I felt so close to just completely losing it. I needed a break. Got some comic relief in the form of Kath’s Sex Toy Party. Ooooer. It was quite fun and good to see some of the other local Bloggers, again. (Hi, ya’ll). Missed you, Jillian!

The weekend went much too quickly. Watched the Australian Open. Saw Serena crush Maria. Watched Federer battle Gonzalez. Decided that Federer really isn’t very attractive but on court, playing and winning like that, he’s hot. J and I then had a funny discussion on how unattractive people, who are ‘famous’, suddenly become weirdly attractive. Yup. I wish there were more tennis on, as I get so addicted to watching it. I hate when it’s over because I feel just so (tennis) empty.

In other news, thankfully, the ulcers in Pumpkin’s throat are gone. The $$$ spent on fancy pet antibiotics was worth it.

I’m going to back and have an Exorcist moment at my desk now.

Good to meet you at Kath's party, Bex!

Mental Health Days are good...

And I've always wanted to learn how to play Bunco. I have girlfriends in the South who all get together and play...I always thought it was kind of a southern thing.

Ditto...I've always wanted to play - or rather, learn- as well.

SO glad you made it Friday night :-)

You too, Rosalicious :-)

Missed you too! Glad to hear y'all had fun though! ;)
