New Things
Since the gorgeous white cashmere/wool coat from LTS sold out so quickly and I didn’t manage to fork over $350 for it, I didn’t get it. I wish I had. Very bummed out. So I decided to buy this instead, from LEL.
I also got these cute workout pants, finally something long enough for me. I should have them on Friday. I’m excited. Finding things that fit always makes my day better. Yup, I need a life.

I Want Fatter Calves
A silly rant, by a silly girl.
Shoe shopping. I come really close to hating this task.
Now, it wouldn’t be considered a task, if things fit properly and didn't cause me such a headache.
I know most people have a hard time with finding things that fit. So, here I am out shoe shopping, at lunch, with a co-worker. I find these gorgeous boots at Nordy’s. A bit pricey (try almost $200), but oh so lovely and worth every potential penny.
Try them on, zip ‘em up. They are just too big around the calf. I could fit another half of my leg in the extra space. I try walking around and all you see is this shoe not fitting properly and looking quite silly. If my legs were, oh about 10lbs heavier, they would probably fit like a glove.
I try on another pair. Same thing. And another and another. Same damn thing. I am not sure why I didn’t learn my lesson, oh 10 years ago. I still try. And guess what? They still do not fit.
I know there is the opposite, where one cannot zip up the boot over their calf. I know we all have problems. Why, though can I not find something that is pretty looking and that fits??
Does anyone else have this issue or am I alone on this one?

Custom Clothes From Lands End
For all you tall ones out there, if you don’t already know, Lands Ends does custom clothes (jeans, blouses, chino’s, etc). If you go to landsend.com/custom, you can select the type of clothing you wish to customize.
How cool is that? (If you like LE’s clothing that is). Women’s Chino’s are $70 for regular (customized) and $80 for customized Plus sizes. They will walk you through gathering all your measurements and sizes.
I have not yet ordered any customized LE’s items but when I do, I’ll let you know.
On another note, I am totally in love with this coat from Long Tall Sally. Now, I’d love to quickly fly out to London and buy it …. but my one trip to the UK is already done for this year damn. So here goes £125 and $30-40 in shipping.
I WILL be buying this coat.
If I were in Chicago, London or NYC, I’d buy this coat but people here in CO don’t really wear this type of thing … damn all those ‘The Northface’ wearing people.

Long Elegant Legs
I received the new Spring 2006 catalog from Long Elegant Legs yesterday. I have already ear-marked about 5 or 6 different items that I want. It's my birthday in a few months, so am hoping to tick off a few of these pieces that I want. There are some really cute pants and tops in there. Although, I am not a big fan of the cropped/bermuda shorts type pants. If you don't receive their catalog already, go here and request a copy!

London
We are off to London on Tuesday. I am excited to finally be able to visit, and hopefully purchase, some items from my fav tall girl shops. Long Tall Sally, Top Shop, Dorthoy Perkins etc. Since most of these places don't ship internationally, I can finally check out whats new. If anyone know of any other new shops that sell clothes for us tall ones, let me know! It's been a few years, so I am not sure what's new!

32" Inseam Is Not Tall!
Seriously?! Someone had mentioned to me awhile back that the company 'Soft Surroundings' advertises it's "tall" sizes. Ahem. I receive the catalog yesterday, I was extremely excited, then extremely let down and then just angry. 31" and 32" inseams IS NOT BLOODY TALL. I was in shock really. How can a company advertise their TALL sizes and then only offer their pants/trousers in a 32" inseam?! I am just beyond disbelief at this. To me, this is false advertising!
On a better note, I received the Alloy catalog, and while I feel somewhat too old to wear their clothing, I did find a nice pair of jeans I want. I love their TALL inseam, 37", and good prices. Brilliant.
